Tomori set new Serie A record with Juventus goal
Against Juventus, AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori set a new Serie A record breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s previous one.
Great performance by Fikayo Tomori in Juventus vs Milan, finished 0-3 in favor of the Rossoneri on Sunday evening. The English defender was practically perfect throughout the game and also scored the goal that closed the match.
It was the first goal the 23-year-old scored since he joined the Rossoneri and it could prove crucial in the race for the Champions League. Furthermore, his prowess on the header with which he overtook Giorgio Chiellini and pierced Wojciech Szczesny’s net is special for another reason as well.
In fact, Tomori has set a new Serie A record. In order to hit the ball with his head, Tomori jumped up to 2.63 meters, a new record in the Italian championship. The previous one belonged to Cristiano Ronaldo, who had reached 2.54 meters when he scored a goal against Sampdoria last season.
Tomori’s performance with goal against Juventus has convinced AC Milan closer to make his transfer permanent. Despite arriving only six months ago the former Chelsea has established himself as a key player for Stefano Pioli outing captain Romagnoli form the starting eleven.
AC Milan have every intention to make the signing of Fikayo Tomori permanent at the end of the season activating the 28 million euros option. The player too has been convinced by the Rossoneri project and wants to stay at San Siro for a long time.
